Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mussolini.
Palhares scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Palhares content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Palhares is working for a submission of some sort.
Mussolini wants to get back to full guard.
Palhares is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mussolini sees it coming and defends easily.
Palhares is trying to work for a kimura but Mussolini is defending well.
Palhares prevents Mussolini from standing back up.
Mussolini has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Palhares is working away from the top position though.
Mussolini really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palhares. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mussolini has one foot on Palhares's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Palhares shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mussolini napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mussolini gets back to half guard.
Palhares content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mussolini is trying to stand up here but Palhares is controlling him well.
Mussolini is not content to let Palhares control the position.
Palhares is taking a breather. Mussolini says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Palhares has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mussolini defend it? Palhares steps over the head and cranks it - Mussolini is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Palhares!
