The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abigor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Abigor looks to score with a jab to the body but Washington is just out of range.
Washington fails to land with a series of punches.
Abigor connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Washington gets caught flat footed, as Abigor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Washington pushes Abigor off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Washington shoots in for a takedown but Abigor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Abigor has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Abigor and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
