Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lopez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Walker did well to prevent Lopez getting side control.
Lopez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Walker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lopez pulls his head out easily.
Lopez is taking a breather. Walker says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Lopez is keen to just control but Walker is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lopez tries to clinch there but Walker circles away.
Lopez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Walker as he avoids it easily.
Lopez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walker paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Walker shoots in looking for a takedown. Lopez tries to sprawl out of it but Walker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lopez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Walker sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lopez's guard.

Lopez is trying to maintain the position but Walker is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walker passes the guard and advances to mount!

Lopez misses with a head kick.
No joy there for Lopez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Felipe Lopez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lopez tries to clinch but Walker moves out of range.
Walker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Walker wants it to stay on the feet.
Matt Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lopez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Walker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lopez but Lopez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Walker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lopez to the mat! Lopez manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walker is looking to pass to full mount but he's left his head exposed in the process. Lopez has locked up a guillotine and regained full guard. He's really cranking on it - this could be the end! Is it? Is it? No... YES! YES! He's tapped! I didn't think he was going to get it there for a minute but he did! Well done Lopez! He waited for his chance and took it!
