Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baldrick Breitner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes to the cage accompanied by "Bring Out Your Dead" by Strung Out. Breitner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: BLUNT- "The Iron Maiden". Baldrick Breitner has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jay White's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jay White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baldrick Breitner!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Breitner moves away.
White lands a nice looking body shot.
White lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Breitner ducks under a wild hook from White.
White thows a left - swing and a miss!
Breitner takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
White throws a hook to the side of Breitner's head but Breitner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
White lands a head shot.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Breitner lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and White has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from White and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

White stuffs the takedown attempt from Breitner. Breitner gets slowly back to his feet.

Breitner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as White throws out the jab.

White displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Breitner.
White stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and White wants it to stay on the feet.
Jay White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baldrick Breitner.
White throws a shot from downtown. Breitner moves away and avoids it.
White misses with a double jab.

A looping hook to the body misses from White. Breitner does a little dance to reset his feet.
Breitner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
White throws a solid leg kick but Breitner takes the impact on his shin and smiles at White.
White throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
White swings for the body but Breitner moves out of range.
White swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Breitner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming White to the mat! White manages to get full guard.
White is adopting a defensive guard.
White is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

White keeping moving, preventing Breitner from controlling successfully.
White has control of Breitner's left arm, preventing Breitner from doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Breitner stopping the sweep attempt from White.
Breitner throws a strike but White rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


White slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
White throws a hook but Breitner avoids it easily.

White connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Breitner momentarily.
Breitner uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from White.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and White takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

White is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Breitner.
White throws a lazy right hand but Breitner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

White dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Breitner moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
White misses the body punch

and Breitner counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
White controlling the position well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
White moves into full guard.
White manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Breitner manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

White won't allow Breitner to sweep him here.

Breitner has his foot on White's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. White works his way back into a safe position though.
Breitner looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but White puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Breitner is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Breitner is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
White trying to control but he's not successful this time.
White controlling the pace for now.
White with shots to the head and body - Breitner looks very uncomfortable down there.

White is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Breitner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Breitner tries to reverse the position but White maintains control.
Breitner sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
White wants to pass to mount but Breitner is defending the position.
Breitner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

White thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Breitner to regain full guard.
White trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

White throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
White moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Breitner trying to move into half guard but instead White has managed to sweep!
White is looking to work some ground and pound but Breitner has wrist control.

Breitner tries to roll over but White keeps him under control.
White seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
White throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
White misses with a looping right.
White jabbing away but nothing is landing.
White thows a body shot but no joy.
White cracks a nice hook into Breitner's ribs.

Breitner pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Breitner connects with a high kick.

Breitner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in White's half guard.
Breitner tries to pass to full mount but White defends it.
White wants to control but Breitner is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jay White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
