The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sambo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lesnariano pinned against the cage. Lesnariano gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Sambo counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Sambo wants to pass the guard but Lesnariano is keeping the position.
Lesnariano is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Lesnariano is working for a kimura but Sambo is defending it quite comfortably.

Lesnariano has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sambo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lesnariano has tightened it up now! Sambo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
