Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior De Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Black is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Junior De Sousa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Black!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black tries to clinch but De Sousa moves out of range.

De Sousa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. De Sousa showed some decent athleticism there.

De Sousa decides to stand and escape the position.
Black stuffs the takedown.
Black swinging wildly here.
De Sousa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Black.
Black scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. De Sousa doesn't seem bothered though.
Black should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Black is looking to clinch.

Black moves into the clinch.

Black breaks from the clinch.

Black takes the fight into the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Black is stalling here.
Black misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from De Sousa.

De Sousa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
An inside leg kick from Black misses.
Black tries to close the distance and clinch but De Sousa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
De Sousa misses with a takedown attempt - Black sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Black tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Horrible takedown by De Sousa or perhaps it was just good defense by Black which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior De Sousa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
De Sousa shoots for a takedown but Black saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
De Sousa swats away the attempt to clinch by Black.

De Sousa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
De Sousa is breathing heavily.
Black is holding on to half guard well.

De Sousa is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Black has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. De Sousa is working away from the top position though.
Black pushes De Sousa off looking to stand but De Sousa dives back in and keeps control.
De Sousa not landing any meaningful shots this time.
De Sousa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Black wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Black circles away from the clinch attempt
and Black counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Black fails with an attempt to clinch.
Black moves in looking to clinch but De Sousa pushes him off.
Black swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Black wants to clinch.

De Sousa feints and as Black raises his hands in defense, De Sousa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
De Sousa trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

De Sousa drops back, looking for a kneebar! Black looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Black looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Black!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

De Sousa struggling a bit here.
Black controls the position from side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Black works to advance to full mount. De Sousa defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Black dominated that round.
That's time! De Sousa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Black tries to clinch but fails miserably

and De Sousa counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by De Sousa.
De Sousa is working for takedown but Black is calmly controlling the position for now.
Black with an attempt at a knee that misses.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Black breaks the clinch.
Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but De Sousa paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Black misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Sousa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Black is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Black is breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from De Sousa.

De Sousa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Black wants to get back to his feet but De Sousa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Black throws a quick head kick that skims the top of De Sousa's head.
Black wants to clinch

and De Sousa counters with a single leg into guard. Black didn't expect that.
De Sousa is stalling in the full guard.

De Sousa decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Black, up you get!

Black darts in trying to clinch

and De Sousa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Black won't be happy with that.
De Sousa wants to control but Black is keeping him busy.
Black is trying to control De Sousa's posture but De Sousa avoids it.

De Sousa tries for a kimura but Black is defending well.
Black is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but De Sousa has just dragged him back down to the mat.
You can see the frustration on Black's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

De Sousa working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Black manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Black working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

De Sousa pushes Black off looking to stand but Black dives back in and keeps control.

Black is keen to just control but De Sousa is a slippery customer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Black is nestled in close to De Sousa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Junior De Sousa dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and De Sousa counters with a single leg into guard. Black didn't expect that.
De Sousa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
De Sousa stops Black from standing up.
De Sousa throwing strikes but missing.
De Sousa trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

De Sousa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and De Sousa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Black pushes De Sousa off and scrambles back to his feet.
Junior De Sousa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Black throws a head kick but De Sousa moves out of range.
Jack Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Black is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst De Sousa is controlling him.

Black is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

De Sousa wants to control the pace but Black is squirming around nicely.

De Sousa is really struggling to control Black but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Black is wriggling around trying to escape.
De Sousa looking to control but Black is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Black tries to hold on but De Sousa postures up.

De Sousa is working for a guillotine from mount but Black frees his head quite easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Junior De Sousa showed his dominance in that final round.
I think De Sousa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
