The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
fedor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
fedor tries to land a leg kick but Ares saw it coming and moves away.
fedor throws a sloppy head kick and Ares moves out of range easily.
Ares missing with a left hand there. fedor was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ares avoids the head kick by fedor.
A big left from Ares misses.
fedor throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
fedor uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ares.
A swing and a miss from Ares.
Ares scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
fedor throws a head kick that misses.
fedor dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ares. That did some damage!
Ares throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
fedor tries to clinch up.
mali fedor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
fedor moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ares throws a solid leg kick but fedor takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ares.
fedor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

fedor throws a push kick but Ares slaps the foot to one side.

fedor with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ares to score with a decent uppercut.

and Ares counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fight stays on the outside here - fedor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Ares counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops fedor! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Ares!
