Yamamoto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ambitionz az a ridah. matt johnson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, matt johnson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Go Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto is looking to slow johnson down with leg kicks.
johnson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yamamoto.
No luck with that takedown attempt from johnson.
Yamamoto lands a nice leg kick that just misses johnson's sensitive parts.

johnson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yamamoto's head.
johnson tries to stand and escape but Yamamoto actually recovers to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yamamoto is pulling down on johnson's head. It's preventing any offense from johnson, at least for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

johnson wants to control from the top but Yamamoto keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Yamamoto lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Yamamoto leaves johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Yamamoto lands a really nice looking cross but johnson seems unphased.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Yamamoto.
Yamamoto throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yamamoto sizes up johnson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Good leg kick by Yamamoto there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Yamamoto scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. johnson doesn't seem bothered though.

Yamamoto throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
johnson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Yamamoto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice body punch from Yamamoto.
Yamamoto throws a quick head kick that skims the top of johnson's head.
johnson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Yamamoto! johnson is out on his feet! Yamamoto rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - johnson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! johnson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Go Yamamoto!
