The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lemont looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lemont is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mendez's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Mendez is pressing down on Lemont's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lemont is holding on for now.
Mendez is working for a kimura but Lemont is defending it quite comfortably.
