Ashantie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Big shot. Congo Ashantie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashantie lands with a shot to the body.
Castroy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Castroy moves in looking to clinch but Ashantie pushes him off.
Castroy fails in his attempt to clinch.
A thudding body kick lands there by Ashantie!
Castroy looks gassed!
Castroy misses the shot to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Ashantie - that will leave a mark!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ashantie misses with a body shot.
Ashantie ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ashantie fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Castroy.
Ashantie lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Fidel Castroy has been cut.
Ashantie swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Ashantie moves into the clinch successfully.

Ashantie breaks from the clinch.

Ashantie lands a big right hand that sends Castroy crashing to the mat! Ashantie stays standing though and waves Castroy back to his feet!

Castroy is rocked!
Castroy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ashantie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Castroy manages to avoid it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Castroy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ashantie - the referee stops the clock and Castroy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ashantie. Castroy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ashantie thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Castroy if he has to take too many more of those.
Castroy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ashantie.
Ashantie scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ashantie cracks Castroy with a good jab.
Ashantie connects with a nice cross there... Castroy is looking wobbly and Ashantie recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Castroy to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Ashantie jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
