And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trev Ringland!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Ringland swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sanchez slaps away a takedown attempt from Ringland, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sanchez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ringland is fending him off so far but Sanchez persists. Nope, Ringland circles away and we're back to standing.
Sanchez doesn't manage to clinch there - Ringland circles away.

Ringland clinches up with Sanchez and pushes him back against the cage.

Ringland gets control of Sanchez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ringland will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Sanchez drops back looking for a leg! Ringland is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ringland manages to kick Sanchez off! Sanchez jumps back into Ringland's guard.
Ringland can't keep his opponent in guard - Sanchez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura here.
Ringland is trying to stand back up but Sanchez is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sanchez wants to pass the guard but Ringland is defending well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ringland looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
