PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hal Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Vessel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vessel has chosen Graveyard Symphony as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Buster Vessel has been cut.
Vessel misses with a straight left.
Nice sprawl there from Vessel as Jordan shoots in.
Jordan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jordan throws a lazy right hand but Vessel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vessel tries for a takedown but Jordan circles away easily

and Jordan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Vessel!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jordan won't let Vessel get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Jordan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Vessel to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Vessel shrugs it off.

Jordan stands up from mount. Strange move.
Jordan shoots in for a double leg but Vessel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Vessel moves out of range as Jordan strikes.
Jordan leaves Vessel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jordan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vessel.
Jordan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Jordan rushes Vessel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Vessel manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Vessel has his feet on Jordan's thighs here. He's pushed Jordan off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jordan screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
