Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Haye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Psion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haye gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mike Psion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Psion wants to clinch up but Haye keeps it at a distance.
Psion fails to land with a series of punches.
Psion displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Haye.
Haye closes the distance and clinches up with Psion, looking for a takedown. Haye pushes Psion against the cage but Psion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Psion blocks a jab.
Psion throws a series of punches but Haye avoids them all with ease.
Haye throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Haye takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Psion looks to land a combination but Haye avoids it well.
Haye shoots in for a takedown but Psion shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Psion can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Psion wants to sweep here but Haye controlling him for the moment.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mike Psion just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

No joy there for Psion, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
