Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buang ka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Velasquez, as that shot connected.

Velasquez lands with an uppercut that bounces ka off the cage and back into rage.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Velasquez thuds his right hand into ka's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Velasquez stalks ka and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into ka's face. ka staggers backwards, shaken.

No joy there for Velasquez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

ka wants to clinch up but Velasquez keeps it at a distance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
ka wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Velasquez jumps guard but ka stands there with Velasquez around his waist. Velasquez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
ka will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Velasquez up against the cage.

ka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Velasquez defends it easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Velasquez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
