The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedro lands a right hook to the body.

The Slicer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Pedro tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but The Slicer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The Slicer working the body and head with strikes.

It looks like Vote Pedro has been cut.
Pedro tries to buck The Slicer off but The Slicer is having none of it.
Pedro takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The Slicer postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pedro can't do much from the bottom here.
Pedro is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

The cut above Vote Pedro's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Vote Pedro's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
