Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaija Koo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kaija Koo - Kuka keksi rakkauden?. Anthony Boss has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthony Boss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaija Koo!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boss shoots in looking for a takedown. Koo tries to sprawl out of it but Boss keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Koo keeps the fight on the outside.
Boss lands with a thumping leg kick.
Koo throws a combination. Boss tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Koo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Boss tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boss manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Koo working over Boss with some ground and pound. Boss looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Boss makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Boss.
Koo trying to control the position from guard on top but Boss is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Koo forces his way into half guard.
Koo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Boss actively working from the bottom here.
Koo is keen to just control but Boss is a slippery customer.

Boss wants to improve his position but Koo is controlling well.
Koo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Koo trying to control from half guard but Boss is working away.
Boss is pressing down on Koo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koo looks gassed!
Boss working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Koo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Koo won't allow Boss to sweep him here.
Koo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Koo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Boss, up you get!
Koo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Boss counters with a single leg into guard. Koo didn't expect that.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Boss wants to pass the guard but Koo is keeping the position.
Boss slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Boss has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Koo tries a low kick but Boss avoids it.

and Boss counters with a shoot takedown. Koo fights it but they end up in guard.
Koo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Boss drops back, looking for a kneebar! Koo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Koo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Koo!
Boss tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Koo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Koo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Boss to his feet.
Koo throws a right hand that Boss ducks under and follows up with a left that Boss also avoids with ease.
A punch combination from Koo misses.
Koo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Boss as he avoids it easily.
Boss misses with a takedown attempt - Koo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Koo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boss moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Koo fails to land with a series of punches.
A punch combination from Koo misses.
Boss fails with an attempt to clinch.

Koo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Kaija Koo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boss has his takedown stuffed
so Koo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Boss. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Koo forces his way into half guard.
Boss is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Koo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Koo's back!
Boss working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Boss is not going to allow Koo to sit and survive in this position.
