Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aladin Carpet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Hefner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carpet comes to the cage accompanied by Requiem for a Dream Remix - Clint Mansell. Hefner is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Puff The Magic Dragon. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carpet connects with a looping right hand.
Hefner fails with a takedown attempt.
Hefner tries to close the distance and clinch but Carpet swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hefner has taken the fight to the clinch.

Hefner has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Carpet regains guard immediately.
Hefner postures up in Carpet's guard and throws a big left but Carpet blocks it.
Hefner wants to control from the top but Carpet keeps moving.
Carpet is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Carpet manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hefner is looking to improve his position but Carpet isn't that keen on the idea.

The referee warns Hefner that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Carpet can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hefner is looking to escape.

Carpet sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hefner is in all sorts of trouble here.
You get the feeling that Hefner really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Carpet landing punches.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hefner is looking to improve his position but Carpet isn't that keen on the idea.
Carpet lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Carpet connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Carpet tries to control but Hefner wriggling away.

Carpet is working for a guillotine from mount but Hefner frees his head quite easily.
Hefner wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Carpet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hefner manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hefner pushes Carpet off but Carpet dives into side control.
Carpet landing a few strikes.
Carpet is putting a hurting on Hefner here, landing some big shots from side control.
Hefner is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Carpet has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Carpet takes a little break here. Hefner wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
You can see the frustration on Hefner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hefner is looking to regain half guard here but Carpet keeps moving and retains side control.
Hefner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Carpet is trying to work for a kimura but Hefner is defending well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carpet wants to control but Hefner is keeping him busy.
Carpet not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hefner works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hefner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carpet's guard.
Hefner wants to pass the guard but Carpet is keeping the position.
Hefner is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Carpet keeping moving, preventing Hefner from controlling successfully.
Carpet tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hefner wants to control from the top but Carpet keeps moving.
Carpet looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hefner is one step ahead there.

That was a close round but I would say that Aladin Carpet will probably get the nod.

Hefner sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Carpet doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Hefner paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Carpet - great work!
