Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gavriil Endymion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Endymion comes into the arena with The Message blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mitchell's choice of entrance music: DesertStorm/DJClue - Money Power Respect. Jay Mitchell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jay Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Endymion shoots in but Mitchell avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Endymion tries to keep at a distance but Mitchell has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mitchell tightens his grip and picks Endymion up, before dumping him to the ground. Endymion manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mitchell distracts Endymion with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Mitchell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Endymion looking for a sweep. Not yet Endymion, not yet.
Endymion is trying to keep Mitchell in close.
Endymion lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mitchell!
Mitchell sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Endymion will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mitchell is staying active underneath Endymion, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Endymion throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Mitchell wants to get back to full guard.

Mitchell kicks Endymion off and gets back to his feet.
Endymion keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Endymion lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Endymion shoots in but no luck this time.

Endymion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Mitchell throws a right hand that Endymion ducks under and follows up with a left that Endymion also avoids with ease.

Endymion shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mitchell manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mitchell is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Endymion is aware though and is defending well.

Endymion is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mitchell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mitchell has escaped and now he's on top!

Mitchell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mitchell trying to control the position from guard on top but Endymion is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Endymion wants to sweep here but Mitchell controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mitchell passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Endymion gets back to half guard.
Endymion moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Mitchell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mitchell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mitchell has gone for a leg lock! Endymion slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mitchell's guard.
Endymion forces his way into half guard.

Endymion is working for a submission of some sort.

Endymion is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Endymion wants to take a breather but Mitchell is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Mitchell dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Mitchell scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Mitchell doesn't manage to clinch there - Endymion circles away.
Endymion darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Endymion misses with a series of wild punches.
Endymion throws a nice looking combination but Mitchell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Mitchell lands a big head kick that sends Endymion tumbling to the mat! Mitchell takes a step backwards and waves Endymion back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Endymion is rocked!
Mitchell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Endymion paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Oh Endymion is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Endymion avoids a kick to the body.
Mitchell waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Endymion.
Mitchell gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Endymion counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mitchell misses with the combination.
Endymion seems to have got his legs back now.
Mitchell tries a low kick but Endymion avoids it.
Mitchell shoots in for a double leg but Endymion sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mitchell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Gavriil Endymion is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mitchell takes a jab right on the kisser.
Endymion throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Endymion scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Endymion has hold of Mitchell's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mitchell tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Endymion cranks the arm and Mitchell screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mitchell, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
