Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Kuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozzy Osborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenji Kuraba could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ozzy Osborn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Kuraba!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ozzy Osborn!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osborn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kuraba.
Kuraba fails to land the takedown.
Kuraba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Osborn pinned against the cage. Osborn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kuraba connects with a nice short shot to Osborn's temple.

Osborn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kuraba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kuraba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Osborn counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Osborn is trying to drag Kuraba to the mat but Kuraba just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Osborn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kuraba avoids it.
Kuraba tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Osborn just stands there and leans against the cage.

Osborn lands a good knee to the midsection. Kuraba won't want to take too many of those.

and Osborn counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Osborn.
Kuraba manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kuraba decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Osborn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kuraba wants to control from the top but Osborn keeps moving.
Kuraba lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Osborn looking for a sweep. Not yet Osborn, not yet.

Kuraba might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kuraba drops back looking for a leg! Osborn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Osborn manages to kick Kuraba off! Kuraba jumps back into Osborn's guard.

Osborn is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kuraba is aware though and is defending well.
Osborn is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kuraba drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Kuraba seems to have locked his on tight now - Osborn screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Kuraba, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Kenji Kuraba!
