PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Ignotus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stacey Malouf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ignotus kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bądź Mistrzem. Stacey Malouf will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malouf tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ignotus paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Malouf drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Malouf is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ignotus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Malouf looks up at the clock and then as Ignotus takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Malouf smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Malouf wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ignotus, who protects the arm well.
Malouf misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ignotus wants to control but Malouf postures up.
Malouf tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Ignotus is trying to control Malouf's posture but Malouf avoids it.
Malouf has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ignotus manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Oh but Ignotus is tightening it up a little... Malouf has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Malouf reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Malouf taps out! nice BJJ there by Ignotus!
