The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reeves shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Reeves missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Reeves tries to free his leg and advance position but Wepo is retaining full guard.

Reeves drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reeves jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Reeves trying to control the position from guard on top but Wepo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Reeves decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wepo, up you get!
Wepo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wepo tries for a takedown but Reeves circles away easily

and Reeves counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wepo won't be happy with that.
Reeves has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Wepo is trying to escape the mount.
Reeves throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Reeves scoring with strikes but Wepo is staying in there.

Wepo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Reeves is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wepo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Wepo tries to hold on but Reeves postures up.
Wepo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reeves on the ground.
Wepo regains half guard.
Wepo is breathing heavily.

Reeves seems to be looking for submissions.

Reeves maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Wepo could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Reeves has cracked it and Wepo is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Reeves!
