Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xander Coll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Silvio Fattuso!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Fattuso, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Coll shoots in looking for a takedown. Fattuso tries to sprawl out of it but Coll keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fattuso manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Coll fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fattuso sprawls well initially but Coll persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Coll not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Fattuso is trying to get back to full guard.

Coll looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fattuso keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Fattuso tries to roll over but Coll keeps him under control.

Coll thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fattuso's head.
Coll throwing shots but Fattuso is blocking nicely.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Fattuso looks to land a combination but Coll avoids it well.
Coll shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fattuso defends it nicely.
Coll shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fattuso but Fattuso pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Coll closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

It looks like Xander Coll has been cut.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Coll forces Fattuso back against the cage and clinches.
Coll is trying to drag Fattuso to the mat but Fattuso just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Fattuso is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Coll can't fight it off and eventually Fattuso manages to take the fight to the floor. Coll looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fattuso seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coll pushes Fattuso off and scrambles back to his feet.

Fattuso gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Coll to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fattuso lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Coll!

Fattuso is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Coll can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fattuso has his foot on Coll's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coll works his way back into a safe position though.
Coll won't allow Fattuso to sweep him here.
Coll throws and elbow that misses. Fattuso uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Coll's guard. Nice move by Fattuso!

Coll sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

It looks like Silvio Fattuso has been cut.

Coll jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fattuso is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fattuso and Coll has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
