Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronilo Montilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Head Chopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montilla is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Head Chopper has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ronilo Montilla's chin.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chopper is looking to clinch but Montilla is avoiding it.
Montilla is breathing heavily.
Montilla defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chopper.
Chopper doesn't manage to clinch there - Montilla circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Montilla as Chopper shoots in.
Montilla keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Chopper throws a series of punches but Montilla avoids them all with ease.

Ronilo Montilla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chopper moves into range and clinches up with Montilla.
Chopper wants to break free but Montilla has control.
Chopper lands a hook that snaps the head of Montilla backwards.

Chopper jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Montilla walks away with a smile on his face. Chopper gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Chopper misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Montilla throws a hook but Chopper avoids it easily.
Montilla avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Chopper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Chopper.

Montilla not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Chopper swings for the body but Montilla moves out of range.
Chopper throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Chopper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Montilla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Chopper is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Montilla defends well.

Chopper shoots in looking for a takedown. Montilla tries to sprawl out of it but Chopper keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Montilla manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Chopper thows a left - swing and a miss!
Chopper should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

A punch combination from Chopper misses.
Montilla slips a jab and a cross from Chopper.
Chopper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Montilla tries to avoid it but Chopper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Montilla to the ground. Montilla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chopper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Montilla's waist but Montilla gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chopper off to one side.
Montilla dives in and grabs Chopper's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chopper pushes down on Montilla's head and hops out.

Chopper cracks Montilla with a right hand to the side of the head.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Chopper has eaten all the pies!
Nice takedown defense from Montilla. No joy for Chopper on that attempt.

Montilla closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chopper did well to prevent Montilla getting side control.

Chopper jumps guard but Montilla stands there with Chopper around his waist. Chopper gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Chopper is looking for a triangle here but Montilla uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
