Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Umipig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Umipig comes to the ring accompanied by Loser. AJ Santos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, AJ Santos!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umipig blocks a head kick by Santos.
Umipig swats away the attempt to clinch by Santos.

Umipig changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Santos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Umipig wants to control but Santos is keeping him busy.
Santos is looking to regain half guard here but Umipig keeps moving and retains side control.
Santos is being controlled here.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Santos is looking for a sweep.

Umipig controlling the position.
Santos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Umipig wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Umipig wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Santos, who protects the arm well.
Santos regains half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Umipig tries to pass to full mount but Santos defends it.
Santos is not content to let Umipig control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch but Umipig swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Santos shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Santos showed some decent athleticism there.
Umipig preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Santos is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Umipig is looking to improve his position.
Umipig is breathing heavily.

Umipig is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Santos pulls his head out easily.

Santos seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Umipig is looking to control Santos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Umipig avoid being mounted?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Santos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Umipig defends it well.

Umipig is defending against the submission attempts here by Santos.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Santos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Umipig looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Umipig looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Umipig!
Umipig is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Santos will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Brandon Umipig will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Umipig doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Umipig manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Umipig seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Santos for as long as he can get away with.

Santos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Umipig moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Umipig looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Santos seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Umipig is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
