Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mauri Alavaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pao Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ling has chosen Jay Chou - General/Checkmate as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Pao Ling has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mauri Alavaara's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alavaara scores with a sloppy right hand. Ling should have avoided that one.
Ling tries to bum rush Alavaara with a series of wild strikes but Alavaara uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ling throws a jab but it's blocked by Alavaara.

Ling throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Alavaara stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Ling dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Alavaara. That did some damage!
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Alavaara might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Ling steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Alavaara is out on his feet! Ling sets himself and nearly takes Alavaara's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
