The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Burns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Burns sends Johnson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Burns is motioning to the referee to let Johnson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Stan Johnson has been cut.

Burns ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Burns throws a chopping leg kick but Johnson manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Burns rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Burns drops Johnson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Johnson looks back up at him and smiles so Burns waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Burns drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Johnson right on the button. Johnson goes down! Burns follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Burns gets the win via TKO!
