Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Paua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paua comes to the cage accompanied by Bomberpilot. Jason Myers is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paua shoots in looking for a takedown. Myers tries to sprawl out of it but Paua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Myers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Paua slaps away a takedown attempt from Myers, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Paua tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Myers paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Myers scores with a jab to the head.
Paua fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Myers sprawls well initially but Paua persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Myers moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Paua wants to control from the top but Myers keeps moving.
Myers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Paua doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Paua manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Paua is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Paua knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Myers on the ground.

Myers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Paua manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Myers is pushing down on Paua's leg trying to pass to half guard. Paua is fighting to maintain full guard but Myers has managed to sneak the leg through.
Paua is trying to control but can't.
Myers slows the pace down in half guard.
Paua is breathing heavily.
Paua is looking to improve his position.
Myers wants to take a breather but Paua is having none of it.

Myers drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Myers jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Myers tries to close the distance and clinch but Paua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Paua gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Myers counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Myers.
Paua can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Myers controls the pace.
Myers thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Myers has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Paua is proving hard to escape from.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Myers doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Paua decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Myers's guard.
Myers lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Paua!
Myers tries to control but Paua wriggling away.
Myers is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Paua is surviving well by controlling Myers's body position as best he can.

Myers lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Myers jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Paua is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Paua and Myers has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Paua is not content to let Myers control the position.
Myers takes a little break here. Paua wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Myers tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Myers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Paua keeps working.
Despite being in the dominant position, Jason Myers just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Paua looks to clinch
and Myers counters with a shoot takedown. Paua fights it but they end up in guard.

Paua closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Paua lands in his opponent's guard.

Myers is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Myers has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Myers is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Myers misses with a double jab
and Paua counters with a nice double leg into side control. Myers won't be happy with that.
Paua wants to stand but Myers is controlling his arm.
Max Paua has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Myers is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Max Paua.
Well Myers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
