Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deschamp stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Deschamp wants it to stay on the feet.
Deschamp lands a lovely overhand right.
Deschamp lands a jab to Lightning's midsection.
Deschamp motions for Lightning to come forward. Deschamp throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A telegraphed right hand from Deschamp misses the target.
Deschamp tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lightning was well out of range. Poor timing from Deschamp.
Jean Deschamp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lightning keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Deschamp scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Deschamp thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lightning shoots in looking for a takedown. Deschamp tries to sprawl out of it but Lightning keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Deschamp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lightning uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Deschamp.

and Lightning counters with a nice double leg into side control. Deschamp won't be happy with that.

Deschamp is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lightning's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Lightning working over Deschamp with some ground and pound. Deschamp looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Deschamp is refusing to be controlled, as Lightning sits in half guard.
Lightning is working for a kimura but Deschamp is defending it quite comfortably.
Lightning is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Deschamp!

Deschamp takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Lightning's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
