Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaimana Kalainawai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itamar Colaiuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalainawai comes to the cage accompanied by Collie Buddz - She Gimme Love. Colaiuta has chosen Metallica-Battery as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Itamar Colaiuta enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kaimana Kalainawai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Itamar Colaiuta!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colaiuta is looking to clinch but Kalainawai is avoiding it.
Kalainawai stalks Colaiuta and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Colaiuta's face. Colaiuta staggers backwards, shaken.
Kalainawai stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Colaiuta is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kalainawai scores with a one two! Colaiuta had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Colaiuta tries to clinch but Kalainawai is having none of it.
Kaimana Kalainawai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Colaiuta throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Colaiuta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kalainawai lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Colaiuta crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kalainawai - the referee stops the clock and Colaiuta gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kalainawai. Colaiuta manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Kalainawai closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Colaiuta's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kalainawai swings around for an armbar but Colaiuta sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kalainawai's guard.

Kalainawai isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Colaiuta stacks Kalainawai on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Colaiuta!

Colaiuta has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kalainawai closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kalainawai lands in his opponent's guard.

Kalainawai is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kalainawai accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Colaiuta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kalainawai. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Colaiuta tries to kick Kalainawai off but Kalainawai keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kalainawai is looking to take a break and control but Colaiuta is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kalainawai wants to pass the guard but Colaiuta is defending well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Colaiuta wants to clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kalainawai darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Colaiuta doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Colaiuta throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Colaiuta looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kaimana Kalainawai dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kalainawai connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Colaiuta momentarily.
Colaiuta tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kalainawai throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Colaiuta was covering up waiting for the punch and Kalainawai finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Colaiuta pushes Kalainawai off looking to stand but Kalainawai dives back in and keeps control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Colaiuta moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Colaiuta takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Colaiuta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Colaiuta is still on wobbly legs! Can Kalainawai finish him?
Kalainawai lands a glancing blow to the side of Colaiuta's head.
Colaiuta tries to clinch but Kalainawai moves out of range.
Kalainawai connects with a nice cross there... Colaiuta is looking wobbly and Kalainawai recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Colaiuta to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Kalainawai jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
