The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gammon tries to clinch there but Mott circles away.

Mott closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mott looking to secure an arm triangle but Gammon defends it well.

Mott wants to finish this one by submission but Gammon is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mott.

Mott is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gammon has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gammon!

Mott had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gammon defends it easily.

Gammon drops back looking for a leg! Mott is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mott manages to kick Gammon off! Gammon jumps back into Mott's guard.

Gammon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mott manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gammon has Mott in his guard.

Mott stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Gammon has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Mott manages to get his head free but now Gammon has transitioned to an armbar! Mott grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Gammon! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
