Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, EJ Wolfe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bert Sugar!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sugar cracks Wolfe with an open hand slap.

Wolfe drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wolfe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sugar is keeping the position for now.
Wolfe pushing down on Sugar's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Wolfe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sugar is trying to stand back up but Wolfe is controlling him

Wolfe is working for a kimura but Sugar is defending it quite comfortably.

Wolfe is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wolfe is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Wolfe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sugar is just riding it out for now. Wolfe eventually gives up the hold.

Wolfe wants to work for an arm triangle but Sugar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Wolfe is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wolfe seems to be working for a kimura but Sugar defends the submission attempt.
Sugar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wolfe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wolfe prevents Sugar from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wolfe is trying to work for a kimura but Sugar is defending well.
Wolfe is looking to advance position but Sugar won't allow it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sugar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wolfe stops Sugar from getting back to his feet.

Wolfe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sugar defends it well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wolfe walks into a straight right hand from Sugar.
Sugar lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
EJ Wolfe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wolfe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sugar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wolfe momentarily.
Sugar lands a jab.
Wolfe fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sugar connects with a crisp jab.
Wolfe looks for a takedown but Sugar sprawls well.
Wolfe gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sugar lands with a cross.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sugar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Sugar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sugar lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


Wolfe is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sugar connects with a looping right hand.
Oh Wolfe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bert Sugar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sugar closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Sugar bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sugar is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Sugar Rushes Wolfe and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Wolfe is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Sugar Piles on the pressure and Wolfe crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bert Sugar!
