PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between faisal ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mister Pink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pink has chosen Mitsa as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 23 - 1, fighting out of London, Mister Pink!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ali fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pink avoids it really well and circles away.
ali tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pink swivels and escapes.

Pink shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pink showed some decent athleticism there.

Pink wants to control but ali is keeping him busy.
Pink really doesn't want to stay on the ground with ali. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pink throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Pink sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. ali defending well though.
ali keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Pink is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and ali reverses the position - he's now on top in Pink's guard.

Pink is pulling down on ali's head to control his posture.
ali wants to control from the top but Pink keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pink can do anything to dispel that myth.

ali's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
ali wants to pass the guard but Pink is keeping the position.

ali is fighting to break Pink's control of his arms but Pink is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pink wants to stand up but ali is controlling him.
ali tries to free his leg and advance position but Pink is retaining full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee stands the fighters back up. faisal ali just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Pink postures up and lands a big shot to ali's brow.
Pink with a flurry of punches that miss.
Pink won't allow ali to get back to his feet.

Pink looking to improve position, pressing down on ali's thigh with his hand. ali seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Pink paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Pink's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! ali picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
