Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Montecristo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that DJ Penn has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily DJ Penn seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Montecristo dives in and grabs Penn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Penn pushes down on Montecristo's head and hops out.
Montecristo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Penn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Montecristo!
Montecristo can't escape the position.
Montecristo is trying to stand.
Montecristo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Montecristo wants to improve his position but Penn is controlling well.
Penn tries to pass to full mount but Montecristo defends it.
Penn is working for a submission of some sort.
Montecristo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Penn pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The fighters are battling for position here. Montecristo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Penn wants to pass the guard but Montecristo is keeping the position.
Penn passes easily into side control. Nice work.
An elbow from Penn crashes against the mat.
Penn has an Americana. Montecristo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Penn is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Penn hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
