Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Acton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregores Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acton throws a series of punches but Mendez moves out of range.

Mendez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Acton takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Acton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mendez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mendez is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Acton off and has taken his back!

Mendez lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
