The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock shoots in for a double leg but Stylez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stylez stuffs the takedown attempt from Rock. Rock gets slowly back to his feet.

Rock closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rock wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stylez keeps working.
Stylez regains half guard.
Rock not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rock sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stylez defending well though.
Stylez wants to control but Rock is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Stylez regains full guard. Nicely done.

Stylez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rock wants to stand but Stylez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stylez is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Rock frees his head nicely. Oh but Stylez has switched to an armbar! Rock is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
