Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Artiom Nevar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel Yang will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yang feints and as Nevar raises his hands in defense, Yang changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nevar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Yang tries to free his leg and advance position but Nevar is retaining full guard.
Nevar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Nevar seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Yang would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Nevar wants to sweep here but Yang controlling him for the moment.

Nevar is working for a guillotine from mount but Yang frees his head quite easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nevar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Yang tightens his grip and picks Nevar up, before dumping him to the ground. Nevar manages to land in guard.

Yang must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Yang gets to his feet - Nevar follows without any prompting.

No joy there for Yang, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Yang manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nevar manages to get himself to full guard.

and Yang counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Yang wants to stand but Nevar has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nevar looking for a sweep. Not yet Nevar, not yet.
Yang trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nevar's guard.
Yang drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yang jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Nevar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yang looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Yang explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Nevar wants to clinch but Yang slips to the side
and Yang counters with a nice leg kick.
Yang fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Artiom Nevar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Yang.

Horrible takedown by Yang or perhaps it was just good defense by Nevar which made him look bad.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yang lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nevar takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Yang misses with a takedown attempt - Nevar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Yang.

and Yang counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nevar!

Yang takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nevar can't escape the position.
Yang wants to control the pace but Nevar is squirming around nicely.

Samuel Yang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Nevar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
A low kick from Nevar is predictable there
so Yang counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Nevar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yang's guard.

Nevar is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Yang off and has taken his back!
Nevar is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Yang with him. Yang is trying to defend but Nevar has an arm under the chin now! Yang grimaces and is forced to tap out!
