Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Umber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Resnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Resnar!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Resnar tries to clinch there but Umber circles away.
Umber avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brock Resnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Resnar wants to break the clinch but can't.
Umber prevents the takedown attempt.

Umber's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Umber is looking to take a break and control but Resnar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Resnar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Umber is working away from the top position though.

and Umber counters with a shoot takedown. Resnar fights it but they end up in guard.
Resnar throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Umber is breathing heavily.
Resnar wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Umber is now in half guard.
Resnar is looking to improve his position.
Resnar is pressing down on Umber's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Resnar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Resnar manages to work his way to half guard, despite Umber's best efforts.
Resnar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Umber is working away from the top position though.
Resnar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

John Umber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Resnar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Umber manages to get himself to full guard.

Brock Resnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Umber decides to stand and escape the position.
