The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Liddell looks to land a left hand but Gracie moved out of range nicely.
Liddell throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.
Gracie works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gracie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Liddell manages to avoid it.
Liddell throws a series of punches but Gracie moves out of range.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Liddell.
Gracie dodges the punch combination from Liddell.
Liddell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gracie throws the left hand but Liddell avoids the punch easily.
Liddell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Liddell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gracie.
Gracie on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Liddell uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gracie has time to react.

Gracie throws a big shot that misses.

Liddell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gracie bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Liddell's head.
Gracie wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Liddell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Gracie counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Liddell is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Gracie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Liddell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Liddell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gracie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Liddell slips under a jab.
Liddell misses with a double jab
and Gracie counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Gracie throws a hook to the side of Liddell's head but Liddell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Liddell swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Gracie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gracie getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Gracie swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gracie. Liddell does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gracie throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jab, jab by Gracie - just one landing.

Liddell is rocked!
Gracie lands with a big right hook that stumbles Liddell - he's out on his feet here! Gracie follows up with another monster hook that separates Liddell from consciousness! Liddell falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Gracie stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
