The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lilke misses with a jab, cross combination.

Larusso closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Larusso lands in his opponent's guard.
Lilke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Larusso closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Larusso feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Larusso prevents Lilke from getting back to his feet.
Larusso throws a big right hand that misses.
Larusso distracts Lilke with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Larusso tries to free his leg and advance position but Lilke is retaining full guard.
Lilke is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lilke can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lilke manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Larusso connects with a nice short shot to Lilke's temple.
Lilke is looking to escape.
Larusso seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Larusso wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lilke keeps working.
Lilke is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Larusso scores with a couple of nice shots.
Larusso looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lilke with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Lilke is in trouble now - Larusso has advanced to mount!
Lilke takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
