Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lawrence misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lawrence lands a slapping body shot.
Lawrence fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gracie on the side of the head.
Lawrence tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gracie scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lawrence doesn't seem bothered though.
Lawrence looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Gracie misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Lawrence cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vitor Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lawrence throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Gracie shoots in and drives through. Lawrence sprawls well.
Gracie moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gracie blocks a head kick by Lawrence.
Lawrence throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Lawrence takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lawrence has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Lawrence throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lawrence uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gracie has time to react.

Gracie darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Lawrence rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gracie lands a nice hook to Lawrence's body. Lawrence takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gracie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gracie lands a jab to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie lands a jab to Lawrence's midsection.
Lawrence is breathing heavily.
Lawrence takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gracie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lawrence counters with a head kick. That will keep Gracie thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gracie moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Lawrence is rocked!
Gracie connects with a body shot.
Oh Lawrence is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gracie closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Lawrence out cold! Lawrence corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
