The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliver misses with a takedown attempt - Moreira sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Moreira leaves Oliver with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Moreira thumps Oliver with a low kick.
Moreira slaps away a takedown attempt from Oliver, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pedro Moreira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Issac Oliver.
Moreira fails in his attempt to clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moreira is wriggling around but Oliver manages to pass to half guard.

Oliver is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Oliver connects with a nice short shot to Moreira's temple.

Oliver in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Moreira tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Oliver!
