Martins's entrance music is Regueiros Guerreiros. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Africanus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Africanus lands a jab.

It looks like Wagner Martins has been cut.
Martins shoots in for a double leg but Africanus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Martins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Africanus dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Africanus connects with a jab.

Africanus gets caught flat footed, as Martins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Africanus is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Martins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Martins looking to sit in guard and control but Africanus gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Martins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Africanus prevents Martins from getting back to his feet.

Africanus stands up and waves to Martins to follow him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Africanus darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Martins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Scipio Africanus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Martins is breathing heavily.
Africanus comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Africanus paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Africanus connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Martins momentarily.

Martins tries to keep at a distance but Africanus has taken the fight into the clinch.
Africanus lands a body shot in the clinch.
Africanus lands a shot to the body.
Africanus gets through Martins's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Africanus throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Martinss head.
Africanus lands with a light punch inside.

Wagner Martins's cut is getting worse.

Africanus lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Martins is rocked!

Wagner Martins's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Africanus throws a big uppercut that drops Martins! More strikes from Africanus and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Martins lies dazed against the cage as Africanus celebrates with his cornermen!
