The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peters can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as HARPER controls the pace.
Peters is trying to hold HARPER in close to prevent damage but HARPER has managed to pass into half guard.

HARPER uses his free foot to push down on Peters's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Peters.

HARPER thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

HARPER shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

HARPER decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

HARPER feints and as Peters raises his hands in defense, HARPER changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
HARPER stopping the sweep attempt from Peters.
Peters manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
HARPER is trying desperately to improve position.
Peters is landing with some decent strikes but HARPER is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

HARPER is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Well HARPER has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
