Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Bird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Bird feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bird is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bird pushes down on McDonald's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDonald wants to improve his position but Bird is controlling well.
McDonald is trying to stand.
Bird missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Bird trying to control the action but McDonald is working from the bottom.
Bird is looking to pass McDonald's guard but actually McDonald recovers to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bird stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McDonald swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bird wants to control from the top but McDonald keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bird pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bird circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! McDonald drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Bird follows McDonald to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
