PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mister Temporary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juan Gonzalez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juan Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Temporary throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A bone on bone clash there as Temporary blocks the leg kick.
Gonzalez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Temporary.
Temporary ducks right into an uppercut from Gonzalez.
Gonzalez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Temporary swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gonzalez lands the left hand.
Gonzalez throws a head kick that misses.
Gonzalez moves in looking to clinch but Temporary pushes him off.
Temporary tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gonzalez was well out of range. Poor timing from Temporary.
No joy there for Temporary, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Temporary lands a left and a right that send Gonzalez crashing to the mat, dazed. Temporary thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Juan Gonzalez has been cut.
Mister Temporary seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonzalez moves out of range of the body kick.
A swing and a miss from Temporary.
Donk. Temporary catches Gonzalez right on the button with a cross.

Gonzalez is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Temporary misses with a few strikes there.
Gonzalez staying out of range there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gonzalez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Temporary will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gonzalez tries to land a front kick but Temporary steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Temporary swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Temporary lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gonzalez circles away quickly and effectively.
Temporary swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Temporary looks to land a left hand but Gonzalez moved out of range nicely.
Gonzalez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Temporary is breathing heavily.
Gonzalez misses with a head kick.

Gonzalez drops Temporary with a beautiful combination! Temporary stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gonzalez is looking for the KO!

Temporary is rocked!

It looks like Mister Temporary has been cut.
Gonzalez connects with a stiff jab that staggers Temporary - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
