PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ong Boc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Runestorm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boc changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Runestorm tries to avoid it but Boc manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Runestorm to the ground. Runestorm escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A head kick misses from Boc.

Boc looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Runestorm is trying to stand back up but Boc is controlling him

Boc comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Boc really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sven Runestorm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Boc throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Boc closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Boc lands in his opponent's guard.

Runestorm is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Boc in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Runestorm is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Runestorm throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Boc escapes and throws Runestorm's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Boc has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That was a close round but I would say that Ong Boc will probably get the nod.
That's time! Boc's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Boc shoots in looking for a takedown. Runestorm tries to sprawl out of it but Boc keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Runestorm manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
