PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Susi Solmunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konstantin Snegov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Solmunen comes to the cage accompanied by Blood Is Thicker Than Water. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snegov throws a jab when Solmunen was well out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Solmunen. Snegov does a little dance to reset his feet.
Solmunen dives in and grabs Snegov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Snegov pushes down on Solmunen's head and hops out.
Snegov has his takedown stuffed

and Solmunen moves into the clinch.
Solmunen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Snegov works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Snegov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Snegov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Snegov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Snegov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Solmunen is proving hard to escape from.

Snegov drops back looking for a leg! Solmunen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Solmunen manages to kick Snegov off! Snegov jumps back into Solmunen's guard.

Solmunen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Snegov manages to get himself to full guard.

Solmunen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Snegov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Solmunen, into his guard.

Snegov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Snegov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Snegov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Solmunen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Snegov has managed to get both his arms back between Solmunen's legs - danger averted.
Solmunen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Snegov!
Snegov tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Solmunen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Snegov is now in Solmunen's guard. A big mistake from Solmunen there, giving up the dominant position!

Snegov drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Snegov seems to have locked his on tight now - Solmunen screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Snegov, as he picks up the win!
