Nakamura comes into the arena with Amazing blaring out of the sound system. Kenji Nakamura has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Georgy Kalashnikov!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalashnikov misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kalashnikov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Nakamura throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Nakamura looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kalashnikov is fending him off so far but Nakamura persists. Nope, Kalashnikov circles away and we're back to standing.

and Nakamura counters with a three punch combo that has Kalashnikov backing up. Kalashnikov nods at Nakamura to acknowledge the strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nakamura lands with a kick to the temple. Kalashnikov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Nakamura counters with an outside leg kick.
Nakamura shoots in looking for a takedown. Kalashnikov tries to sprawl out of it but Nakamura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kalashnikov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kalashnikov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nakamura tries to avoid it but Kalashnikov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nakamura to the ground. Nakamura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
