PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelson Liriano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jake Harris has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jake Harris seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liriano tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harris swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harris fails with the takedown.
A jab from Liriano misses.
A right-left combo lands from Liriano.
Liriano stalks Harris and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Harris's face. Harris staggers backwards, shaken.
Liriano lands with a cross.
Horrible takedown by Harris or perhaps it was just good defense by Liriano which made him look bad.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Liriano misses with a hook. Harris ducked under it nicely.

Liriano swings for the body but Harris moves out of range.
Harris tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Liriano swivels and escapes.

Liriano scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Nelson Liriano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Harris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liriano's waist but Liriano gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Harris off to one side.
Liriano cracks Harris with a good jab.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Harris. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Liriano might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Harris changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liriano tries to avoid it but Harris manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liriano to the ground. Liriano escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Harris has a takedown stuffed.

Liriano lands a really nice looking cross but Harris seems unphased.

Harris takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Liriano cracks Harris with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Liriano has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Harris to stand back up!
Are you kidding me?! Liriano ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Harris clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
