Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colt listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Colt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Desouza circles away quickly and effectively.
Colt tries to clinch up but Desouza circles away and keeps his distance.

Desouza shoots in and bounces Colt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Colt keeping full guard, as Desouza tries to pass.
Colt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Colt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Desouza doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Desouza manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Desouza postures up in Colt's guard and throws a big left but Colt blocks it.
Desouza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Desouza is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Colt throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Desouza trying to control the position from guard on top but Colt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Colt tries to clinch there but Desouza circles away.
Hennuis Colt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Desouza shoots in for a takedown but Colt shows good takedown defense.
Colt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Desouza.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Desouza.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Desouza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Colt stuffs the takedown attempt from Desouza. Desouza gets slowly back to his feet.
Colt lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Colt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Colt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Desouza avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Colt as he connects with a hook.
Nice straight punches there by Desouza. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Desouza.

Desouza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Colt as he jumps to the side.
Colt stuffs the takedown.
Colt wants to clinch up but Desouza keeps it at a distance.
Colt scores with a crisp jab that stopped Desouza in his tracks.
Colt drops Desouza with a straight right hand, right on the button! Colt follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
